Can an RPG work in ten-minute bursts?
RPGs and mobile sessions seem like opposites. One wants hours, the other gives you a train ride. But some games bridge the gap better than others.
The trick is good save points and short, meaningful encounters. If I can finish one battle and feel like I made progress, I'll come back. If every session needs a half-hour commitment, the game sits unplayed.
Turn-based combat helps a lot here. You can pause mid-fight, think, and resume later without losing the thread. Real-time action RPGs punish you for looking away.
Pick one with a clear quest marker and forgiving autosave. You'll finish the story over a month of coffee breaks and barely notice the hours adding up.
